this diva is originally from an island of the tropical persuasion... winter and i are not friends ..at all. but finally, after 4 mths of snow, blizzards and weather that i can only describe as apocalyptical, spring is here. it's still a bit chilly but the snow is melting. (happy dance)... so as i'm getting ready to shove my winter coat back into the closet.. i'm wondering... what am i gonna wear this spring!

i've long been a fan of on-line shopping, ever since i realised that my favourite local boutique was buying their stock from international brands/stores, and retailing at a 150% + mark up. (this happens when you reside outside the home-country of your favourite store, and there is not have a local branch or designated retailer) MADNESS! since then, i've managed to amass a collection of on-line shops that i swear by, and who, were it not for, i'd be broke, and nekkid. shopping online really isn't for everyone, but i'm here to convert the skeptics :)

how much did that make up artist quote you! really now. well unless I am the MUA you're paying, i simply cannot condone that.
For those of you not in the know, we are presently in the middle of the carnival season. it is the most exciting time of the year for any red-blooded trinidadian. at the climax of the season, carnival monday and tuesday, the populace dresses themselves in the finest costumes and adorn their bodies with ornate jewellery. elaborate make up is a major part of pulling the entire costume together..and of course, it can get expensive.

i loveeee booties. they're like boots, but better. with sky high heels (real divas wear heels!) tapered just right, the bootie is the shoe that makes me feel like i have tina turner legs! you cant help but STRUT your stuff in a pair of sexy booties. there's no other way to walk in them. from suede to leather, patterned to sleek, there's a bootie out there for everyone.

dear diva: what do i wear to a winter wedding?

so today, one of my fellow divas msgs me: i've got a wedding in a week and i am stressin! what do i wear? what works for my shape? " i was in need of inspiration for a new project, so i was happy to get to work. here's what i came up with:
